December Reminders from Bigwag Dog Bakery
Hey Everyone!
Just a few quick reminders in the midst of the busy holiday season.
Yappy Hour
It may be December, but we're still holding Yappy Hour at Bigwag. This Tuesday, December 15th, is Favorite Things. We'll have great deals on our favorite products from Bacon & Egg Piglets to Planet Dog Toys. Our favorites will be 20-50% OFF!
And stop in next Tuesday, December 22nd when we'll gift wrap your purchases for free while you hang out and enjoy holiday treats. Both of these Yappy Hours will be from 5pm-8pm due to our extended holiday hours.
Saturday Morning Coffee
The second edition of our new chance to socialize is this Saturday, December 19th, starting at 9am. Stop by before you go shopping for free coffee and time with friends.

Remember, we're open late to help you with your errands this season. Our extended hours are:
Monday-Thursday 9am-8pm
Friday-Saturday 9am-7pm
SUNDAY! 12pm-5pm

Bigwag Dog Bakery December Newsletter
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! In our final monthly newsletter of 2009 you'll find holiday hours, the Humane Society Angel Tree, Yappy Hours and the monthly calendar of events.
HOLIDAY HOURS
To help make your holiday a little easier, we're extending our hours.
From Tuesday, December 1st - Wednesday, December 23rd, our hours will be:
Monday - Thursday 9am-8pm
Friday - Saturday 9am-7pm
Sundays 12pm-5pm
We will close at 2pm on Thursday, December 24th and remain closed December 25th and 26th to allow our staff time to be with their families. Normal hours will resume Monday, December 28th. We will also be closed Friday, January 1st in observance of New Year's Day. ;
HUMANE SOCIETY ANGEL TREE
Come check out the Humane Society Angel Tree! You simply take a tag from the tree and then return that item to our store. It's an easy way to give back this holiday season. The tree will be here all month and your donations help the homeless animals of Northwest Arkansas. Also this year, for every donation you bring in, you get a chance to win a great gift package including a dog bed, toys, treats and much more!

Although Halloween and all its festivities are finished, the truly busy holiday season is just beginning. In this newsletter you'll find information on upcoming Yappy Hours, Pictures with Santa Paws, Saturday Morning Coffee and Bark Friday. Plus, blog updates and our monthly calendar of events.
Yappy Hour
Stop by every Tuesday between 5pm and 7pm for great specials:
TONIGHT, November 3rd - Let's Make a Deal. Everyone loves a deal, but can you get the best one possible? Come in tonight and choose an envelope with a deal inside. But wait, there's a catch. Do you want to keep the deal you have or trade it in on what's behind door number 3? Only you can decide what deal is right for you.
November 10 th - Veterans Day. In honor of all the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country, we are asking that you bring in pre-paid phone cards. We'll donate them to the VFW's Operation Uplink, which helps connect soldiers with their families. In turn, you get 50% OFF your treat purchases.
November 17th - Coat Drive. The weather turning cooler is a joy for many of us, but for those in need, it's a time to worry about staying warm. Bring in a new or gently used coat and you will save 20% on our new line of coats and sweaters for your beloved pooch.
November 24th - Bag Sale. All year you've brought in your green bag for $1 off your purchases. Tonight it will save you even more. As our way of saying thank you for being a loyal customer, we're giving you 20% OFF anything you can fit in that green bag. That means treats, clothes, grooming tools, collars, leashes, you name it. .. If it fits, you save!
December 1st - Bigwag Spirit Night. As it gets closer to the holidays we know life gets crazy. So, we're making this one simple. Wear yellow, save green! All you have to do is come in wearing Bigwag yellow and you get 20% OFF your purchases.
Picture with Santa Paws
It's not too late to support the Humane Society and get your dog's picture taken with Santa. For only $5 per dog, Pets Rock Photography will take your dog's picture with Santa and the sitting fee goes to the Humane Society. Call us now at (479) 631-2924. It only takes a few minutes and there's no money due until the day of the event. You can even e-mail sales@bigwag.com and we'll work something out!

Okay, I know everyone wants their dog's picture taken with Santa and everyone loves to support the Humane Society (the $5 per dog sitting fee all go es to the Humane Society). I also know we love to procrastinate! We still have spaces for Santa Paws available, but I'm begging you, please don't wait until the 20th and try to squeeze in on the 21st. By that time there won't be any spots left. And your dog will be sooooo sad to not see Santa Paws. Call us now at (479) 631-2924. There is a VENDOR SALE being held tomorrow, Friday, October 16th from 8am-1pm at the Executive Center, Suite 3 1116 S. Walton Blvd., Bentonville. The sale benefits Lone Pine Animal Shelter. Sale items include: Arts and Crafts supplies, Baking supplies, Beach towels, Clothing, Kitchen items, Glassware, Kids Bedding, Pet items, Rugs, AND much more!
BARK PARK GRAND OPENING
Elaine Schube asked if I would spead the word about the Bentonville Bark Park's Grand Opening. The GRAND OPENING will be Saturday, October 24th from 10am-1pm. They ask that you bring a donation (cleaning supplies, food, medical supplies, etc) for the local animal shelters as your admission fee. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony, recognition of the people who made the Bark Park possible, vendor booths and a HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST for your dog! So, please, mark your calendar!
SANTA PAWS
We are now taking reservations for PHOTOS with SANTA PAWS. Pets Rock will be taking pictures here at Bigwag on Nov. 7th, Nov. 14th, Nov. 15th and Nov. 21st. Sitting times are available from 10am-6pm on Saturdays and 12pm-5pm on Sunday. The sitting fee is $5 per dog, with all proceeds going to the Humane Society and Murphy Dog Park. I got some feedback that people wanted more notice on our $5 Friday specials, so I'm sending them out today. This Friday, August 21st we will feature our 10 inch bully sticks for only $5. They're regularly $7!
Also, come visit us at the Twilight Walk this Friday from 4pm-8pm in downtown Rogers. It's a Dog Days of Summer theme, so there will be great fun & prizes for people and dogs alike!
Finally, we're proud to announce that we will be holding our first ever Treat-a-Thon from 9am Saturday, September 5th to 7pm Tuesday, September 8th. Our goal is to get a treat donated for every shelter animal in NWA! But, we need your help to make sure we don't miss anyone. If you know of a shelter or rescue in the area, tell us who they are and how many animals they have. Also stay tuned for details of the Treat-a-Thon, because we'll have some spectacular deals for you as well!

Bigwag Dog Bakery Friday Update
Happy Friday!
Today's $5 Friday specials are some of my favorite products - our Crypton Cleaners. I am a huge fan of the Crypton Stain Remover for Dogs. It's all natural and has removed spots from my carpet that were there before I moved in! Plus it smells great while doing it. We're also offering the Crypton Disinfectant & Deoderizer for $5! These products are regularly $8-$9, so this is a great savings!
Also, Julie Jarret ask me to pass on this information the next time I put out a newsletter: New Pet Loss group forming - This group will be to support one another through the death of a beloved pet. Whether it be a cat, dog, horse, or any other pet, everyone is welcome. All that I ask is that we be respectful of each other and make no judgments on each other&rsqu o;s beliefs. We are pleased to announce our very first Five Dollar Friday Special! All day, Friday August 7th, our Moo Tubes will be 3 for $5.00! (They're regularly $3.00 each, that's a savings of $4.00!)
A couple other notes - The date for camp Bow Wow's Dog Wash was incorrect in our newsletter. The dog wash is this Saturday, August 8th. Sorry for the error.
Also, we now have a time for the Candle Light Vigil for Homeless Animals on Saturday, August 15th. It will begin at 7pm.

Bigwag Dog Bakery August Newsletter
Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday so far! We have lots to share this month, because many exciting things have happened and there are some great things coming up as well!
Starting off with a big THANK YOU!
Our third birthday party was a huge success and we owe a lot of people thanks for that. Thanks to Jeff Mores of the Benton County Daily Record for writing a beautiful article on our business just in time for our birthday. Thank you to Nancy, Bill and Miss Mollie Gross for speaking with Jeff and saying such nice things about us. Thank you to all the terrific vendors who came out and set up, gave away prizes, donated to the goody bags and shared their knowledge. It wouldn't have been nearly as fun with out you. Thank you to our awesome employees who put in lots of extra hours to get everything ready on time. And most especially, thank you to all of our unbelievable customers who not only made our birthday party successful, but who make it possible for us to be here after three years. There were many people who said that we would never make it, but you have proved them wrong. And for that we are truly grateful!

Bigwag Birthday Party Tomorrow!
Hey Everyone!
Just a reminder that our birthday party is tomorrow from 9am-12pm. We have goody bags for the first 100 guests that include some fun stuff! Deadline for Year of Free Treats Contest
Hey Everyone!
Just a quick reminder that the deadline for our YEAR of FREE TREATS contest is quickly approaching. All submissions must be recieved by 7pm tomorrow, Saturday, July 18th! We have already recieved some really great stories, but there is still room for more. Bigwag Dog Bakery July Newsletter
Hello Everyone!
I realize it's not quite July yet, but I thought I'd send this one out a little early in light of the upcoming holiday.
Clothing and Beds and Birthdays, Oh My!
If you haven't been in the store in the last week, you're in for a surprise! We have added clothing and beds to the products we carry. We are excited to bring you these new items, as many of you have been asking for clothing since Woof! Woof! closed. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how affordable our clothing lines are, so stop by and check out the range of cute tees, lovely dresses and handsome button downs. We even have swim suits and life jackets! And we have a great variety of unique beds including cooling beds for dogs that'll keep them cool in this heat!
We are beyond excited to announce that our 3rd Birthday party will be held Saturday, July 25th from 9am to 12pm. It will be a "pool party" theme with plenty of water to keep everyone a little cooler this year. We will be giving goody bags to the first 100 guests. There will also be free food, Northwest Arkansas Animal Rescue will be providing low cost micro-chipping, there will be contests and prizes and much more!
Year of FREE TREATS
We will also be giving away a Year of Free Treats at our birthday party. In the past we gave away the Year of Free Treats through random drawing, but this year we're changing it up. We're asking you to tell us why you or your dog love Bigwag. Share your best story and you could win the prize! You can enter online by visiting http://www.contest.bigwag.com/ or you can e-mail your story directly to us at sales@bigwag.com. You may also enter in person at the store. All entries must be received by 7pm Saturday, July 18, 2009. Then we'll have the best 10 stories on display and you get to vote for your favorite. Along with winning the Year of Free Treats, the best story will be published in the Rogers Morning News. The 9 runners up will receive a pound of treats of their choice.

Bigwag Dog Bakery June Newsletter
Happy June Everyone!
I can't believe we're already into the 6th month of 2009. Blink and your life just flies by. The end of July we'll celebrate 3 years of being in business already! Which brings me to a very important question. In the past we have typically held our birthday party in the middle of the day, but it's always sooo HOT. We'd like to change the time to combat the heat. My question to you- (PLEASE reply to sales@bigwag.com with your opinions) Would you rather attend an event earlier on a Saturday morning (think 9am-12pm) or later Saturday evening (6pm-9pm)?
As it begins to get hotter, the events thin out, but for the time being we still have lots of dog friendly events to tell you about. Remember you can always check out the most up to date information we have at

Our biggest news this month is we have changed our hours! We are now opening at 9am to better serve all you early birds. We're running an early bird special for the entire month of June. Come in before 10am and you get 20% off your purchase.

Happy Memorial Day!
I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend. Just a few quick end of the month reminders to send out today.
First, we are OPEN today, from 10am to 7pm, so if you find yourself in need of treats, chews, toys or food or if you're just looking for somewhere interesting to visit with your out of town guests, please stop by. Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26th, is Yappy Hour from 5pm-7pm. We're having a Puppy Shower for the Humane Society. Bring in a donation and save 50% on your treat purchase. Help fill the back of a pick-up truck!
This Saturday, May 30th, we're having an I love Lucy Party from 4pm-6pm at Bigwag. Lucy is a rescue pug who was given 3 to 6 months to live. That was over a year ago and Lucy is still going strong, so we're celebrating with cake and punch for people and cake for dogs. Drop in between 4pm and 6pm for the festivities!
Sunday, May 31st is Bark at the Ballpark, take your dog to watch the Naturals play, 2:30pm at Arvest Ballpark, dog admission is free with a paid adult.

Dogwood Walk/Bark Park Opening Updates
Happy Friday! I have a few updates to pass along this afternoon. The Bark Park Grand Opening is going to be rescheduled due to the threat of severe weather. First, a few thank yous and updates on events that happened in April. Thanks to everyone who came out for Murphy Dog Park's Annual Bunny Hop! We had a fantastic turn out, the dogs had a great time hunting Easter Eggs and over $1000 was raised to support the park. Thanks also to all the vendors and participants that stuck it out in the rain at the first annual NWA Skyhoundz Event. The dogs were impressive and Matt already has his sights set on a bigger, better event for next year. Finally, thank you to all the volunteers from NWAAR, especially Dr. Harper and Angie, and all the participants in the Micro-chipping clinic. We vaccinated or microchipped 71 dogs and 6 cats between 10am and 2:30pm on Saturday April 18th! That's a lot of money raised for a great rescue and a lot of dogs who can now find their way home!
Summer Hours at the Humane Society
Clay Morgan asked us to pass along the news that the Humane Society is open on Sundays from 1pm to 3pm from now through the end of summer, giving you more time to adopt a new family member.
Murphy Dog Park Memberships
For those of you who use Murphy Dog Park, remember it is a private park supported by your membership. If you don't have tags, stop by Bigwag and buy yours today, $5 per dog for a year membership. For those of you who bought your tags a year ago, come by and renew today.
Yappy Hour at Bigwag
We are continuing to have a great time at Yappy Hour every Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm. This past Tuesday we celebrated Cinco de Mayo, complete with chips, queso and margarita treats. If you missed out, don't fret, we have plenty more Yappy Hours coming up, including:
May 12th - Mother's Day. It might be a few days late, but we want to celebrate all the dog "m oms" out there. So, moms, come by with your dogs, get a flower and save 50% on our Spring flower treats.
May 19th - Pizza Night. This is one you can't resist. Stop by, get a slice of pizza for yourself and get a pound of pizza guys for your dog for only $5.00.
May 26th - Puppy shower for the Humane Society. Yappy Hour Reminder
Hi Everyone!
Just a quick reminder about tonight's Yappy Hour. From 5pm-7pm tonight we'll be hosting Denise Holmes of Ain't Misbehavin'. She'll be here to talk about her new CD, "My New Best Friend" as well as answer other dog behavior questions. We'll also be having an early Earth Day Celebration. All eco-friendly products will be 25% off and if you bring your re-usable green tote in tonight, you'll get $2.00 off your purchase.

Bigwag Dog Bakery April Newsletter
Happy April Everyone!
Its hard to believe that spring is already here, especially when the weather doesn't stay spring-like for more than a few days at time. But, we're quickly approaching Easter and with it a plethora of events that are great to attend with your favorite canine friend.
Murphy Dog Park's Annual Bunny Hop
The first great event this spring happens this Saturday, April 4th from 1pm-4pm at Murphy Dog Park (in Rogers at the corner of 1st Street and Nursery Rd.) This fantastic annual event features a bonnet contest, a tail wagging contest, a silent auction and of course an Easter Egg hunt complete with eggs stuffed with Bigwag treats! The cost is $5 per dog, with all proceeds going to benefit Murphy Dog Park. You can pre-register at Bigwag Dog Bakery or you may register at the gate the day of the event.
NWA Local Skyhoundz Event
Another event that is sure to be exciting is Northwest Arkansas' fi rst ever disc-dog competition series. Set for April 18th at 1pm at the old Tiger Stadium in Bentonville, this event is free to competitors and spectators alike. Stop by to see some amazing action and visit vendor booths.
Micro-Chipping Clinic
On April 18th Bigwag Dog Bakery is happy to announce that we're hosting Northwest Arkansas Animal Rescue's low cost micro-chipping ang rabies clinic at our store. The event kicks off National Pet ID week and is not only a great way to help out a wonderful rescue organization, but also a great way to help your pets find their way home should they ever become lost.
Spring Frontline Special
As we get into spring, the bugs come back and that means Fleas and Ticks. We are excited to offer our customers a special deal to keep those little buggers away. For the next week, from now until the close of business on Saturday, April 11th, we will be offering a pre-order special on Frontli ne Plus. If you order between now and then, you will get our wholesale prices. You simply order and pay online or in our store before close of business April 11th and you will get Frontline at our wholesale cost. Then when our order comes in, which we expect to be about April 20th, you pick up your Frontline Plus! On average you save $6.50 a box. We do ask that you limit yourself to 3 boxes. These prices apply only to pre-orders, they do not apply to products in our store. We want to reward you for planning ahead!
Yappy Hour at Bigwag
Yappy Hour continues to be great fun every Tuesday at Bigwag from 5pm to 7pm. Most recently we hosted a great group of volunteers who stuffed eggs for Saturday's Bunny Hop. We also had a fantastic March Madness Yappy Hour this past month (the dog's predicted Memphis would win - guess dogs are no better at picking brackets than the rest of us!)
