In my excitement to send out the $5 Friday, I forgot to include updates to pet events happening here in Northwest Arkansas. My apologies! Here's what's coming up in the next couple weeks. Grand Opening Bella Vista Dog Park

Description: BELLA VISTA DOG PARK GRAND OPENING! The K-9 Corral, Bella Vista's first off leash dog park is to open to the public and their Pooches March 27th, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.

Helping Paws Meeting
When: Thu, April 1, 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Where: Peace Lutheran Church - Rogers, AR (map)
Description: Well behaved dogs (on leashes) are welcome. Our “Helping Paws” group is an informal group of people, some of who are already part of a licensed therapy-dog team. We encourage those who feel they might be interested in this type of volunteerism to join with us, ask questions, and interact with the group.

Murphy Dog Park Meeting

Description: Want to help plan events for Murphy Dog Park? This is the place for you! Also learn how to volunteer at the park or raise money to keep this privately funded park going.
Dog Scout Orientation
When: Thu, April 8, 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Where: Arvest Convention Center - Bentonville, AR (map)
Description; Never heard of Dog Scouts of America? Want to learn what they do? Come and find out. Sorry, no dogs at orientation.
Murphy Dog Park Bunny Hop - Rogers, AR
When: Sat, April 10, 11am – 1pm
Where: Murphy Dog Park (map)
Description: Tickets available in advance at Bigwag Dog Bakery (2301 W. Walnut #23 Rogers, AR) and on the day of the event. Registration is $ 5.00 per dog.
When: Sat, April 10, 1:30pm – 3:30pm
Where: Rogers Activity Center - Rogers, AR (map)
